Jackie was born in Birmingham and moved to Torquay, Devon when she was eleven, where she spent her teenage years. She took a lot of inspiration from her surroundings in her GCSE art featuring the sea and many still adorning the walls of her parents house. 
 
Choosing to follow a business path in her A-levels and University, Jackie studied Business Administration at The University of Wales, Cardiff. However, whilst in her career in Marketing, Jackie worked with well-known brands such as After Eight, Lion Bar, Dairylea and retained her interest in the creative side, especially packaging design. 
 
When Covid hit, Jackie was confined to her desk at home and started to think what really made her happy. Jackie joined an art class at Lichfield College - Staffordshire University and re-discovered her love of painting especially using the palette knife with oil and acrylic paint.
 
Jackie now paints, draws and takes photos for her 'job' but as she says, when you're doing something you love, it doesn't feel like work, especially when it brings joy to other people.
